SQL Server Courses

Our way of working:

  • We work together, trainer and participants, side by side, as a team;
  • We go through the features step by step, from fundamentals to advanced concepts;
  • All technical functionalities are backed by business requirements: we learn together to analyse and implement;
  • We debate the technical approach and solutions and choose the optimal, versatile ones;
  • Each SQL module means projects, tasks, applicability – we believe in learning by doing, not abstract theory
  • As trainers, we answer all participants’ questions;

SQL Courses - considering the job:

  • It is a training useful for both starting in IT (databases), and journeying towards a Senior Data Analyst role
  • Within the course, we pass through 70% data extraction starting from a beginner to an advanced level
  • 30% of this course is addressed to databases design:  construction, defining constraints on data in tables, diagrams
  • We learn working with analytical functions in SQL:  row number, sum over, rank
  • We go through working with variables in SQL so that we automate reports
  • We are working on business requirements, step-by-step,  go through projects and there, we know SQL!
  • If the need/ desire is IT and more in-depth technical knowledge, then the course SQL Programming – Level 1 is the next step
  • This entire course implies working with business end-to-end projects: focus on stored procedures work, user defined functions, data historization for auditing
  • Technically, we use: views, stored procedures, functions, MERGE, Control Flows in SQL
  • This is the next step after the  SQL Querying course
  • After this module, we can successfully apply out gained knowledge for jobs implying SQL in IT: Junior SQL Developer, SQL Support etc
  • Homework is part of the training, but not to worry, we will debate the solutions and challenges together the next day
  • Course designed for an ETL Developer role
  • The course implies E= data extraction from multiple sources, T- transforming data when importing, L- Loading data in the database or files
  • Within this course, we define import-export packages,  we import files which have dependencies on one another, we handle import errors
  • Also, this would be the course where we build a full roadmap from source data to DWH Star Schema
